We had a very relaxing retreat in this cosy wooden house. Awakening to the birds singing, taking a walk around the lake, reading a book under the soft lamp, discussing science with my friends from Cambridge, and falling in sleep in the moonlight with white noises from the chaotic wind - it is exactly what we needed to heal our jaded souls.

What an amazing place that from the outside has a cottage appearance which you could imagine may mean fairly basic amenities inside but once you go in you'll be amazed at the space and all the things you might need to feel at home away from home. The 6 of us who stayed here all thoroughly enjoyed our time in this great hideaway not too far off the beaten track. Marc's communication and advice throughout was second to none. Would love to come back again with my family when warmer to enjoy the watersports and walks in the area.

Three of us stayed at the lodge during the big heap of snow, and had a great time. The underfloor heating was fab, kitchen had everything we needed, TV is big and loud, beds were cosy. We didn’t stray far, just going for walks around the reservoir and looking for the American great horned owl that lives in the caravan site. Marc’s communication was speedy and clear. Happy all round, many thanks

Jazmin,

Cosy, quirky, countryside lodge with some classy touches that support a relaxing family break.

Simon,

Very comfortable and clean with all the extras you need TV/Fast broadband - perfect place to stay with a great host.

Gareth,

We had a lovely stay, it was laid out ready to accommodate 2 friends with their 4 kids which was perfect. If you go in winter do take walking boots or wellies if you want to walk to Grafham Water (It's only 15 minutes away on foot). It's well worth the walk but very muddy. The kids loved it x

Jane,

The lodge is perfect for families or couples looking to get away from it all, with amenities close by. The community shop and local Indian were great. We cycled to the lake a couple times with our children - the journey is pretty safe even though some of it is on the road. The lodge itself is well equipped and comfortable. A perfect retreat

Cheryl,

We had a lovely stay. Marc's communication was excellent, he accommodated an early check-in and late check out due to new year. The bottle of fizz in the fridge was a lovely touch. Thank you! The lodge was warm and cosy, the beds comfy and everything you needed on hand. The location was quiet and private. Walks around the area were nice and we enjoyed a great new year's eve day at Graffam Water which was excellent. The local Indian, Cinnamon, served us a fab meal. The only things to be mindful off are: the stairs are quite steep and could be precarious for some guests. A great place to escape to for some R&R. Happy New Year!

Samantha,

Great place to stay. Clean, tidy & very well presented. Marc is a pleasure to deal with

Dan,

Highly recommended, Marc is very helpful, fast responder, self check in very straight forward, provided additional local info, had more than expected creature comforts, TVs in bedrooms I just can’t find a fault, I love this lodge, I’d live here permanently if given the option lol, amazing host! Very attentive, lodge was warm when we arrived, even supplied tea and coffee ... outstanding!!!!

Jen,

beautiful place xx

Kimberley,

This is a charming lodge nestled in woodland on a small private development. It is really quiet and yet close to Grafham Water to take advantage of walks, cycling and boating. We found the lodge very well equipped for our family especially the washing machine and dishwasher! The kids particularly liked the wifi and use of PS3. The stairs to the two upstairs bedrooms were a little narrow and steep but this only added to the charm. The bedrooms were of a reasonable size and the host was able to give us flexibility on whether the rooms should be set as twins or king size. The beds are comfy and the shower pressure is good. There is a lovely deck at the front with seating, ideal for a drink or BBQ. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again in the future.

Sharon,

A cosy and very well equipped lodge in a beautiful quiet woodland location not far from Grafham Water. We had a lovely family holiday and my little grandson didn't want to leave!

Mary,

Lovely quiet position in a group of similar lodges. Well equipped and very clean.

Michael,

Marc’s lodge was absolutely brilliant! The lodge itself and the site it’s on was incredibly clean and welcoming! When it came to being comfortable we couldn’t have asked for much more as we settled in straight away! The beds were comfy the shower was hot and powerful and the appliances all work without problems! Literally nothing was out of line with Marc’s initial description of his property! Great stay an A+++ property and location!

Joseph,

The house is just lovely in a beautiful peaceful setting. We all had a great time. The house has everything you need for your stay. Beds are comfy, kitchen fully equipped and wifi with the tele is an added bonus. We will definitely return. Highly recommended
